The wet weather is officially here and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. The opening day of the District 4 golf championships. Constant rain, wind, soggy conditions on both days were the types of conditions to have a round go south in a hurry. But Sean Ball and Nate Kutch demonstrated why their 4th place state trophy last spring was no fluke.
Playing very steady golf in horrible conditions Sean Ball led from start to finish posting a 77 on day one and following that up with a 78 on day 2! Nate Kutch also showed a consistency in both rounds posting an opening round of 83 and following that up with an 81 for the second round. Freshman Nathan Lamberton also made the day 2 cut by shooting an 86 in the first round!
Sean Ball was the only golfer to shoot in the 70’s for either day. Both he and Kutch will take their swings into the offseason and will look to make another run at a state championship this spring!
Congrats Nate and Sean!
