It was a perfect fall day for football! Cloudy but no rain. Nice breeze. And Sid Clark on the grill with over 165 slabs of ribs! Perfect start to a perfect day and the Cougs looked perfect from the first series.
Facing a 2nd in 10 on their first offensive series QB Luke Price, in only his 2nd varsity start, dropped back and threw a 45 yard fade to speedster Mikey Silveira for a touchdown and Seton never looked back! The first half included 3 punt returns in the 1st quarter by Taj Muhammad that earned him the Columbian’s football athlete of the week nominee. There were too many highlights to list as the cougs dominated from start to finish. The visiting Riverside Pirates crossed our 50 yard line only twice the entire game and Seton’s defense continued to pride itself on stopping our opponents.
Seton has one more non league game this Friday at Tenino before our Tri Co League opener Saturday Sept. 29th vs Stevenson.
