Cougars News · Dyer regains form as Seton Girls and Boys sweep Tri Co League Meet!

The Seton Catholic Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams made it a sweep Wednesday as both teams took first in a Tri Co League Meetat Lewisville Park.

Sydnee Dyer has slowly been working her way back into her championship form from last year. On Wednesday she showed she’s back as she took first in the Tri Co League meet with a time of 19:17. Freshman Lara Carrion continued her outstanding season with a second place finish just 16 seconds behind. Abigail Wall finished 6th with a time of 20:56. Alexandra Traffalis and Jerrica Pachl rounded out the top 10 as the Cougs handed the states 2nd ranked La Center cross country team their first league loss in four years!

Not to be outdone the boys took care of their business as well making it a sweep for Seton Cross Country. David Carrion continued to show why he’s one of the top runners in the state with a first place time of 16:35. Koen Ross took second in the meet with a time of 17:44. Hayden Miller and Josh Freitag took 7th and 8th respectively as the Cougs got their first league win.

The Cougs will now prepare for next week’s Tri Co League Championships at Vancouver Lake Park this Wednesday Oct. 17th!
