Cougars News · Sean Ball Defends His District Title With Come From Behind Victory and 3 Under Par 69 in Final Round!

Sean Ball came into the district 4 championships playing very well. With several rounds under par in the last few weeks Ball looked to be the easy favorite going into Thursday’s opening round. Golf is a funny game though and Ball struggled a bit coming in with a first day 6 over par 78 and trailing by 4 strokes. Ball was not happy with his play and was determined to play himself back into contention.

Ball wasted no time on day two has he birdied the first two holes to pull within 1 stroke of the lead and was ahead by two after six having birdied three of his first six holes. Ball finished his round with 5 birdies and two bogies walking away with a 9 stroke victory and his second consecutive District 4 championship. Nathan Lamberton finished 11th in the tourney and also qualifies for the State tourney in May. Ball and Lamberton will look to continue Seton’s strong showing at the State tourney with top 10 finishes the last two years for the Seton team scores.

Congrats Sean Ball! Congrats Nathan! We are Proud of You!
