Cougars News · Seton Boys Soccer Heads Into Second Half of League Play Alone in Second Place

The Seton Catholic Boys Soccer Team is enjoying one of it’s most successful seasons in the program’s history. With wins over 2A and 3A schools to start the season and only one league loss the Cougs go into tomorrow’s game against Castle Rock with a 7-1 record (5-1 in league). Seton stands alone in 2nd place in the Trico League with their only loss coming on the road to 1st place Toledo. Seton is coming off two wins this week with victories over Stevenson on Tuesday and a 10-0 victory over rival King’s Way Thursday night.

Coach Chase is happy but not satisfied with the team’s progress thus far saying; “I’m very proud of our team for our results so far this year. We have quite a few new players who have really added to our dynamic and provided some good support to the returning players, but that has meant they’ve needed to figure each other out and find their rhythm with each other. We’ve played some good games so far and have made a lot of progress, but we still have some big goals to try to achieve, and need to stay focused and disciplined to achieve these goals. I’m very excited for the potential this team has, and I hope to see them reap the benefits of their hard work.”

Seton starts the second half of league play tomorrow at Castle Rock High School with a 12′ noon kickoff.

Congrats Boys on a great first half of the season! Keep pushing for that playoff spot!

Go Cougs!
