Speed and pressure were the difference in the Cougars 31 point victory over Elma Tuesday night. Right from the start Seton came out pressuring and running as they put up 29 points in the first quarter doubling the score of their opponent. The 2nd quarter was much of the same as the Cougars ran to a 27 point quarter and a 56-29 halftime lead.
Coach Small was happy with the energy the team came out with and the relentless pressure they applied in the first half. Small says there are many things that the team will need to work on as they approach league play but the coaching staff is very happy with the team’s progression.
The Cougs had 5 players in double figures. Gabe Anderson led the Cougs with 16 points. Xavian Rushing added 15. Andrew Olson put up 14 points, Kellen Ball 13, and Isaiah Parker 11.
The 2-0 Seton boys are back on the road again tonight at Hudon’s Bay 5:30pm JV and 7pm Varsity.
